World’s biggest family.

adorable. if i am called to have children, my little one shall wear a veil :)

If she wants to, she can. (Talking about my own future little ones)
:)

When I had my first communion, I wore a veil with my dress. I loved it. I thought it was fancy, and beautiful. Not to mention elegant. (Well, not in so many words, I was, like, 7).
I said I wanted to wear a veil again. Mom told me, “No, you won’t be wearing a veil again till you get married.”
(“If I want to get married,” I added, ever the accurate smart-aleck
“If you get married,” Mom agreed.)
I was sad, because the idea of veils to me was beautiful and fun. Though our parish is old-fashioned, I’ve only seen women under a certain age wear veils in a latin mass I’ve been to. And even when the older women wear veils, it’s usually only one woman that does it, and it’s only been reciently that I’ve been able to realize that she’s wearing a veil and not a hat. (Though that might just be because I”m looking now)
I don’t blame Mom for saying that, though. Since there are pretty much 0 ways to get an appropriate veil where I grew up.

that makes me sad, too.
I’d like to try wearing a veil to Mass to see how it feels. Maybe it improves the celebration of the Mass? Idk.
I also feel like I might focus too much on it. But that’s my own problem to work out.
They should totally be available. I’m surprised shrines like La Salette near my house in MA don’t sell them.

I’m thinking of wearing a veil as my Lenten discipline, to remind myself of my humility under God.
